What is Cloud Infrastructure?

Cloud infrastructure is the backbone of cloud computing, encompassing a set of virtualized resources such as computing power, storage, and networking. These resources are offered and managed by cloud providers over the Internet. Essentially, it serves as a foundation for remote access, deployment, and management of applications, data, and services. Unlike traditional computing, cloud infrastructure removes the necessity for organizations to invest in and oversee physical hardware. This results in benefits like scalability, flexibility, and cost savings. It includes components like servers, virtual machines, data storage systems, networking tools, and various services that collectively enable the functioning of cloud-based services.
